What is Duck Buddy

Duck Buddy is a Max4Live device created by Slynk, Jarlyk, Iggylabs and Floodstate. It allows you to easily make space in your music for drums. This is the modern way of doing Sidechaining (Ducking) which reduces the audio of an element briefly to let another element take precedence.

What is Duck Buddy Multiband?

Duck Buddy Multiband enables you to split the frequency bands up into high and low. It's Duck Buddy merged with Multiband Dynamics to split the high and low frequencies.

But why do this?

Kick drums tend to have very short bursts of high frequencies and very long sections of low end, on the other end Snare drums tend to have longer high frequency content and shorter low frequency content. Having a multiband duck can make this more natural sounding by giving you full control of both. This lets you tailor your high and low end to your drums allowing for much less pumping artifacts when unwanted.
